Privacy policy
This policy describes what checkedbyus.com does with information when you visit, in plain words. It was written to match what the site actually does: there is no account, no form and no newsletter here.

What we collect, and why
When a review page loads, a small script in the page creates two random identifiers: a click id and a session id. They are made of letters and numbers only and are not linked to your name, email address or any account. Together with them, the script records:
- the page you are on (its address on this site) and which headline version was shown to you (an A/B test key, "a" or "b");
- advertising click identifiers that may be present in the page address when you arrive from an ad (gclid from Google Ads, msclkid from Microsoft Advertising) and campaign parameters (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content, utm_term, utm_product);
- the browser's user agent string (shortened) and the address of the page that linked to us, when your browser sends it;
- which button or link you clicked to go to the seller's site, and when.
We use this to count visits and clicks per page, to compare the two headline versions, and to know which ad brought a visitor who later bought. The purchase itself never happens here.
Where the data goes
The script sends the fields above to a collector we run on Cloudflare Workers (an address ending in workers.dev). The collector keeps each event for up to 30 days and our own system then copies it into our records. The collector does not store your IP address; like any web server, Cloudflare handles it while processing the request, under Cloudflare's own privacy policy. We keep the copied records only for as long as they are useful to run the site.
Cookies and browser storage
checkedbyus.com does not set cookies of its own. It uses two kinds of browser storage instead:
- Session storage keeps the click id, the session id, the ad click identifiers and the campaign parameters for the current tab. Your browser clears it when the tab is closed.
- Local storage keeps one value per review: which headline version (a or b) you were shown, so you see the same version if you come back. It stays until you clear your browser data.
Cookies set by others: Cloudflare, which hosts this site, may set its own technical cookies under its policy. ClickBank, the retailer for the products reviewed here, sets its cookies on its own domain only after you click a link to the seller, to credit the referral. That happens on their site, under their privacy policy, not here.
Third parties we use
- Cloudflare hosts the site (Cloudflare Pages), runs the collector (Cloudflare Workers) and injects Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookie-free page-view counter that does not build profiles or follow you across sites.
- Google Fonts serves the typefaces. When a page loads, your browser requests the font files from Google's servers, which receive your IP address and user agent under Google's privacy policy.
- ClickBank processes the purchase on the seller's side. When you click a link to the seller, you leave this site. The link carries the click id as a tracking id (tid), so ClickBank can tell us that a sale came from this page. The tracking id contains no personal information.
We do not use advertising pixels or remarketing tags from Google, Microsoft, Meta or anyone else. Other than the services listed here, we do not allow third parties to collect information about your activity on this site or across other sites over time.
What we do not collect
We do not ask for your name, email address or payment details anywhere on this site. Purchases happen on the seller's site, under the seller's and ClickBank's own privacy policies. We never see your order details.
Do Not Track
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. This site does not change its behavior in response to that signal: the measurement described above runs the same way for every visitor. It records no name, no email address and no cross-site profile. If you prefer not to be counted, disable JavaScript for this site or clear its browser storage.
Your California privacy rights
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA. The ad click identifiers (gclid, msclkid) stay in your browser's session storage and in our collector; this site does not send them back to Google or Microsoft. You can ask what we hold about a click id or session id, or ask us to delete it, by email. We answer the same way for every visitor, wherever you live.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, we publish the new text on this page and update the effective date above. We do not have your contact details, so this page is the only place where a change is announced.
